Rat Skin Subcellular Fractions

Current Promotions

Many drug metabolizing enzymes of the liver and other visceral organs are also expressed in the skin. While skin possesses a wide variety of metabolic enzymes, specific enzymatic activity is typically less than 10% of that found in the liver. However, skin plays a significant role in the biotransformation of transdermal xenobiotics.

Sekisui XenoTech’s rat skin subcellular fractions include matching S9 and microsomes from Sprague-Dawley rats. These subcellular fractions are most commonly used for in vitro ADME studies.

If you require subcellular fractions not included in our standard product offering, custom products can be ordered to meet the needs of any study.
