Non-CYP Metabolism

Overview

Although cytochrome P450 are the hepatic enzymes that play a major role in the metabolism of drugs, there are other enzymes that contribute to the metabolism of drugs. Sekisui XenoTech offers studies to evaluate the metabolism of a drug by non-CYP enzymes with appropriate test systems. Sekisui XenoTech's scientists will design a custom-fit study for your compound. Below are a few examples of the enzymes we have evaluated in the past:
  • Flavin-containing monooxygenase (FMO)
  • Monoamine oxidases (MAO-A & MAO-B)
  • Aldehyde oxidase (AO)
  • Hydrolic enzymes (carboxylesterases, paraoxonases, cholinesterases)
  • Sulfotransferase (SULT)
  • Carbonyl reductase
