Whole-Body Autoradiography

Overview
Conducting Quantitative Whole Body Autoradiography (QWBA) studies are critical to assessing distribution of radiolabeled compounds to various tissues and organs as part of a comprehensive preclinical ADME strategy.

QWBA can provide dosimetric calculations before human radiolabeled studies and can help evaluate drug interactions by observing changes in tissue distribution of a compound when co-administered with another drug. Investigation of compound affinity with the site of pharmacological action is vital for preclinical safety and toxicology assessments.

Sekisui XenoTech's global team of researchers have over 20 years of autoradiography experience and offer the following QWBA studies:
  • Tissue Distribution
  • Placental Transfer
  • Melanin Binding
  • Brain and Cerebrospinal Fluid Exposure
  • Estimation of Elimination Rate in Various Tissues
  • Tumor Penetration
  • Detection of Potential Sites of Drug Accumulation
